I don’t know about you, but I just love The Dead Sea. There’s nothing quite like slathering on a thick coat of mud and then floating on your back in Sea’s salty waters.

Now The Dead Sea is one of 28 finalists in an international competition to name the seven natural wonders of the world. The New 7 Wonders of Nature Foundation is organizing the competition in which The Dead Sea will compete with other natural wonders including the Amazon River, Galapagos Islands, and the Grand Canyon.

Unfortunately we may be held in suspense for a while. The finalists will not be announced until 2011.
